Q: Is pureForms' solution based on open-architecture?
A: Yes. We use mainstream database products from major vendors (see below), the free Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers and the free Acrobat Reader.
Q: How do I get my paper form onto the Internet?
A:
We first digitize your forms and make it Acrobat Reader compatible. We then program database fields onto you digitized forms and create database tables to capture the data. If you do not have an existing form, we will design it for you per your specifications. We then deploy forms to the web and database servers. The steps are iterative and involve highly skilled programming and database architectural work.
Q: Your company is a startup, how can I be ensure of continuity of service?
A:
When we web-enabled your forms, they are based on open-architecture, see above. For example, you can employ a database administrator from the open market to maintain your forms' database. You
are not lock into us in those areas. Since we a consulting company, we will always be there for you and any new businesses that ensues from the initial project. It is like buying a loaf from a highly skilled
baker, who makes the most delicious loaves. You can still enjoy the loaf without the presence of that baker.
Q: We like to put some documents onto the Internet/Intranet. They are not forms, does your
company provide that type of services?
A: Yes. Just send us an email with more detail description of those documents, e.g., are they in Microsoft Word format or what other formats, and we can reply with a more detail plan for your
consideration. We can even design those non-form documents for you if they do not already exist.
Q: What databases can I store my customers' form response data?
A:
Any ODBC or OLE-complaint databases. Native databases supported include Oracle, MS SQL Server, Sybase, DB/2, Informix and Microsoft Access.
Q: Can I change my database platform later on?
A:
Yes. It will involve creating a new database on your new platform and re-doing some of the programs so that they will now interact with your new database.
Q: Can your forms solution scales up if we have heavy hits per day?
A: Your web site can be scale to handle heavy visitors count per day. There are a number of ways to do that, via up scaling / tuning the database, web server, adding redundancy and failover systems. These are components that may be use in our forms' solutions.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: It will depend on a number of factors and will vary from form to form. The level of details of each form, the database platform selected and the operating system are some of the factors. Your variable cost will be the number of forms involved. Once we know your needs we will submit a cost breakdown. When you accept a cost proposal, the project starts.
Q: What if I change my mind after knowing the cost?
A:
Firstly, there is no cost when our sales team visits you to make a presentation.
To submit a cost proposal for the entire project will entail analyzing each of your form, among other things. This process involves time and will be done on a consulting rate basis. Each form will typically need to be reviewed for about an hour, which may also varies with the speed of your response to our
questions on what you want to do with the form. The cost's time clock does not tick when we are waiting for your answers. You may terminate the consulting anytime with no further obligation. Once we know
the estimated time by adding up all the time for each form, you will have a project cost estimate. If you are undecided, you may start a smaller project instead, with a smaller batch of forms.
Q: How do I know you are doing what I want?
A:
As we finish work on each form per your specification, you can validate our work via the Internet. We will supply you a private area on our web sites for that purpose.
To lower your cost, we recommend that you have contact persons ready to answer our questions on each form, which will help ensure that our end results are what you want.
